Road tripping across our great country is often considered a rite of passage for youngsters, a retirement goal for grey nomads and a must-do for backpackers.

Our land is made up of winding roads that lead us from dense rainforests to deserted plains and back again. Our cities, although bustling, hardly match that of other countries which means our traffic isn't always bumper to bumper.

To us, driving around Australia seems as easy as jumping in a Wicked Camper and setting off, but to people who don't live here, it doesn't seem as simple...

1. Like Veronica, who's having trouble renting-a-roo

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">I wish I lived in Australia so that I could go anywhere riding my personal kangaroo instead of driving a car haha <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/hilarious?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#hilarious</a> :&#39;D</p>&mdash; Veronica (@JustMeSimplyVee) <a href="https://twitter.com/JustMeSimplyVee/status/128544171853230080?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">October 24, 2011</a></blockquote>
