Workers Compensation Claims

If you suffer an injury or illness while at work, during work or travelling to and from work, as a result of negligence by an employer or colleague, you may be entitled to claim workers compensation.

Workers compensation covers you for damages such as pain and suffering, immediate and future medical expenses and loss of income. It is paid through a government-funded insurance scheme called WorkCover.

It’s important to know that workers compensation claims can cover:

  • injuries sustained during a lunch break or when working interstate or overseas
  • diseases that are caused or worsened by work
  • pre-existing conditions that are worsened by work.
