The team at Smith’s Lawyers live and work in Brisbane and the Gold Coast communities and we like to give something back.
We support various charities through staff participation, donations and sponsorship, and involvement in charity events. Here are just some of the charities we work with:
Workplace Giving Program
Smiths Lawyers supports the Workplace Giving Program by allowing our staff to make regular donations directly from their salaries to any Australian registered charity.
Smith’s Lawyers’ Workplace Giving program was launched in 2012 and we cover all administration costs, allowing 100% of every donation made by our employees to be received by the nominated charity.
The program provides a simple way for our employees to participate in charitable giving.
FSG Australia is a Queensland based not-for-profit community organisation offering innovative services in disability, foster care, mental health, aged care, family services, children’s services and foster parenting. Established in 1979, FSG Australia has grown from a passionate group of parents known then as ‘The Gold Coast Family Support Group’. Today, FSG Australia is one of the largest community organisations in Queensland, and we are as determined as ever to achieve our vision for a community that connects with all people and is free of social injustice.
Bravehearts is Australia’s leading child protection advocate and aims to empower, educate and protect children in order to make Australia the safest country in the world to raise a child.
Royal Flying Doctors Service
The Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia (RFDS) is one of the largest and most comprehensive aero medical organisations in the world. Using the latest in aviation, medical and communications technology, it delivers extensive primary health care and 24-hour emergency service to those who live, work and travel throughout Australia.
The RFDS is a not-for-profit organisation. While supported by the Commonwealth, State and Territory Governments, the RFDS relies heavily on fundraising and donations from the community to purchase and medically-equip its aircraft, and to finance other major capital initiatives. Today, the RFDS has a fleet of 60 aircraft operating from 21 bases located across the nation and provides medical assistance to over 270,000 people every year – that’s one every two minutes.
